Spiderette Solitaire

Spiderette Solitaire uses one deck dealt into seven columns. Build downward in rank, placing a card on the next higher card of any suit, and move runs of one suit together. Whenever you assemble a complete run from King to Ace in one suit, it leaves the table. Choose one, two or four suits for an easy, medium or hard game. The stock deals one card on every column, and you can undo as many moves as you like. Play Spiderette Solitaire free online in your browser — no download or sign-up needed.

Click a card (or the top of a same-suit run), then the column to move it to. Build downward: a card goes on the next higher rank of any suit, but only same-suit runs move together. A complete King-to-Ace run of one suit is removed. Deal puts one card on every column.

How to Play Spiderette Solitaire

Objective

Assemble all four King-to-Ace runs of a single suit and remove them from the table.

Starting a game

Seven columns hold 1 to 7 cards each; only the last card of each column is face up. Twenty-four cards wait in the stock.

Rules

  • A card or run can be placed on a card that is one rank higher, whatever the suit.
  • Only a run of one suit in descending order moves as a unit.
  • A face-down card turns up when the card on top of it moves away.
  • Dealing puts one card from the stock on each column (seven, seven, seven and three cards), including empty columns.
  • A complete King-to-Ace run of one suit is removed.

Controls

  • Mouse or touch: click a card, then the column to move it to
  • Keyboard: D deal, U undo, H hint, N new game

Winning and losing

You win when all four runs are removed. The game tells you when no move or deal is left; undo is always available.

Tips and Strategies

  • Uncover face-down cards early; they hide cards you need.
  • Try to build on cards of the same suit so that your runs can move.
  • Empty a short column to create a free space for moving runs.
  • Delay dealing until you have used the useful moves on the table.
  • In the four-suit game, plan which suit to build first and do not bury its cards.

Luck plays a part in every game, so no strategy can guarantee a win.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I deal when a column is empty?

Yes. In this version the stock can be dealt at any time and empty columns also receive a card.

What changes with more suits?

More suits make the game harder because fewer moves build on a card of the same suit.

How many moves can I undo?

As many as you want, back to the start of the game.
