TriPeaks Solitaire

TriPeaks Solitaire arranges twenty-eight cards into three overlapping peaks. You play uncovered cards onto a waste pile when their rank is one above or one below the top card, and the Ace and King count as neighbours. Long runs score more points, and you earn a bonus for clearing a peak. When no card fits you turn over a stock card, which ends your run. Click an uncovered card that is one rank above or below the waste card (Ace and King count as neighbours). Longer runs score more; drawing from the stock breaks the run. Clear all 28 cards to win.

How to Play TriPeaks Solitaire

Objective

Clear all twenty-eight cards from the three peaks and score as many points as you can.

Starting a game

Three peaks are dealt with every card face up. One stock card is turned onto the waste pile; 23 cards remain in the stock.

Rules

  • A card can be played when nothing covers it and its rank differs by exactly one from the top waste card.
  • Ace and King are neighbours, so Ace-King and King-Ace both work. Same ranks do not match.
  • Each consecutive card you play raises your run: the points you get equal the length of the run (1, 2, 3, …).
  • Turning a stock card resets the run. Clearing a peak scores a 15 point bonus.

Controls

  • Mouse or touch: click an uncovered card to play it
  • Click the stock to turn a card

Winning and losing

You win when the board is empty. The game ends when the stock is empty and no table card fits.

Tips and Strategies

  • Before playing a long run, look for the path that uncovers the most new cards.
  • Wrap-around helps: Kings and Aces connect.
  • Save a few stock cards; they are your way out of a dead end.
  • Try to clear a whole peak, since the bonus equals several plays.
  • Keep an eye on ranks that appear rarely on the table.

Luck plays a part in every game, so no strategy can guarantee a win.
