Jigsaw Puzzle

Jigsaw Puzzle cuts a picture into pieces with knobs and sockets and scatters them on the table. Drag each piece to its place on the board; when it is close enough it snaps in and stays. Choose between 12 and 150 pieces, pick one of the built-in pictures, or use a photo of your own, which stays on your device. Show the finished picture for help, or bring the edge pieces to the front first. Play Jigsaw Puzzle free online in your browser — no download or sign-up needed.

How to Play Jigsaw Puzzle

Objective

Put every piece in its place to rebuild the picture.

Starting a game

Pick a number of pieces and a picture. The pieces are scattered below the board.

Rules

  • Drag a piece and drop it near its place in the picture.
  • A piece that is close enough to its place snaps in and is locked.
  • Pieces can overlap on the table; the piece you pick up comes to the front.
  • Your own picture is cropped to the shape of the board.

Controls

  • Mouse or touch: drag a piece to its place
  • Buttons: show the picture, edge pieces first, restart

Winning and losing

The puzzle is complete when all pieces are placed. There is no way to lose; your time is compared with your best for that size.

Tips and Strategies

  • Start with the corners and edges to build the frame.
  • Sort by colour or detail: sky, ground and so on.
  • Use Show picture to check where a section belongs.
  • Pieces with the same knob shapes are not always neighbours; look at the picture too.
  • For a bigger challenge pick 108 or 150 pieces.
