Fruit Merge

Fruit Merge is a physics puzzle in a jar. Aim and drop fruit from the top; when two fruits of the same kind touch, they merge into the next, bigger fruit. The chain runs from a tiny cherry up to a big pumpkin. Fruit pile up, roll and settle, so every drop changes the pile. If a fruit rests above the dashed line for too long, the game is over, so keep the pile low. Play Fruit Merge free online in your browser — no download or sign-up needed.

How to Play Fruit Merge

Objective

Merge fruit to reach the biggest fruit and get a high score without letting the pile reach the line.

Starting a game

The jar is empty. The next fruit is shown above the jar; move to the spot you want and drop it.

Rules

  • Two touching fruits of the same kind merge into the next kind.
  • The score grows with the size of the fruit you create.
  • The game ends when a calm fruit rests above the dashed line for about two seconds.
  • After a drop there is a short pause before the next one.

Controls

  • Mouse or touch: move to aim, click or tap to drop
  • Keyboard: left and right arrows aim, Space or Enter drops, R restarts

Winning and losing

There is no final win; you play for the highest score. The game ends when the pile stays over the line.

Tips and Strategies

  • Keep big fruit in one corner and build the chain next to it.
  • Drop small fruit onto the same kind so they merge before the pile grows.
  • Do not drop into the middle too often; it makes a tall, unstable pile.
  • Merges can push other fruit, so plan for chain reactions.
  • Check the next fruit before you aim.
